Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Palisades Village is Pacific Palisades’ charming central hub. Designed by leading Los Angeles development company Caruso, Palisades Village eschews brand name chain stores in favor of designer boutiques. The result is a uniquely enchanting area of shops and restaurants that feels like an upscale reinterpretation of the classic American Main Street. Retailers here include the stylish Australian resort and swimwear brand Zimmermann and trend-setting Californian designer Elyse Walker. Erewhon Market is Palisade Village’s go-to grocery store with a focus on selling products that are healthy, pure, and rich in nutrients.

Nutrition and well-being are also the focus at Juicy Ladies Organic Café. The menu here includes tasty breakfast plates and lunchtime bowls, burgers, burritos, salads, and wraps with many vegetarian, vegan, paleo, and keto options.

Other dining options at Palisades Village include authentic Japanese fare at Blue Ribbon Sushi, elevated American pub grub at Hank’s, flavorful Mexican cuisine at Que Padre, artisanal Roman pizza at ROCA Pizza, and seasonal British-Californian fusion dishes at The Draycott. Palisades Village also features the original 1940s Bay Theatre which has been updated into a luxurious contemporary five-screen Cinepolis cinema offering gourmet in-theater dining and drinks.

Things to Do

The Riviera Country Club is a prestigious Pacific Palisades institution founded in 1927. The club holds the unique distinction of hosting events for two Summer Olympics. Dressage and polo events for the 1932 Summer Olympics were held at the Riviera while its exquisite 18-hole course was chosen for use in the 2028 Olympics. Designed by legendary architects George C. Thomas Jr. and William P. Bell, the Riviera’s golf course has also hosted the USA Open and two PGA Championships. Other amenities available include 24 tennis courts with an extensive program of tennis lessons available for all ages and ability levels.

The Santa Monica Mountains surrounding Pacific Palisades feature scenic canyons and hiking trails. The Temescal Canyon Trail follows a loop with a steep uphill section leading to a gorgeous waterfall. The route back down then stacks in sweeping views of the Los Angeles skyline and the Pacific Ocean. Will Rogers State Historic Park offers more hiking and horseback riding trails as well as a polo arena on the grounds of the former Will Rogers estate.
